Engineered on the same core technologies as the studio grade brother, the EAR 912. The EAR 868’s smaller size may mean theres less of it but there’s nothing less to it. It’s still big on performance with circuitry designed by Tim de Paravicini. The 868 utilises the same reliable PCC88s in a configuration of four.
he Illusion II is the perfect centerpiece for a world class digital and analog audio system. Added to the normal selection of balanced and single- ended inputs are five digital inputs. The digital module features AES/EBU, coaxial, and optical digital inputs for use with streaming devices or other digital sources.
Circuitry Highlights: the Illusion II preamplifier is a dual monaural design with the left and right channels afforded their own power supply regulation and individual circuit boards. All signal gain is executed with surface mount technology using proprietary multiple-output current mirrors with nearly 500 times the open loop linearity of other designs. Featuring 700 kHz bandwidth in a zero feedback, balanced, Krell Current Mode design, the Illusion II shares the same design philosophy as its bigger brother, the flagship Illusion preamplifier. Negative feedback is not used anywhere in the preamp, nor is it necessary. Open-loop distortion is typically less than 0.003%. The volume control is realized with a balanced resistor ladder - bandwidth and transient response of the preamp circuitry are virtually unaffected by the volume setting.
The Mark Levinson № 526 is the definitive preamplifier for today’s music lover. Twelve analog, phono, and digital inputs travel through the Mark Levinson proprietary Pure Path discrete, direct-coupled, fully balanced, dual-monaural signal path for breathtaking purity and performance. With precision control and processing including a discrete, balanced R-2R Ladder volume control, the acclaimed 32-bit Precision Link DAC, class-A Pure Phono stage, and HARMAN Clari-Fi® music restoration technology, the № 526 preamplifier delivers an uncompromising performance regardless of source. Housed in a 6000-series aluminum chassis, like all Mark Levinson equipment, the № 526 is designed and handcrafted in the USA.
"The Nº52 features seven analog inputs – three balanced XLR and four unbalanced RCA – as well as a dedicated phono input configurable for moving-magnet (MM) or moving-coil (MC) operation. Two sets of pre-outs are duplicated in both XLR and RCA jacks, while an additional auxiliary pair of XLR and RCA outputs is configurable, for fixed or variable output with independent source selection. This function allows the auxiliary output to function as a third pre-out, a pass-through full-range subwoofer output or a record output.
The DiaLogue Premium preamplifier is everything you love about the DiaLogue Three; and more. Like the DiaLogue Three, the DiaLogue Premium Preamp is a dual-mono designed preamp, and weighs in at a hefty 53 pounds! Let's look at what had to be done to make this possibly the best preamp on the market without regard to price.
The best preamp in its class just got better! By incorporating the best elements of the critically-acclaimed ProLogue Three, plus many of the ground-breaking features from the more advanced DiaLogue Series, the next generation ProLogue Premium Preamplifier sets a new benchmark for tubed preamplifiers using the following features:
Introducing one of the most remarkable musical instruments in the world, the BHK Signature Preamplifier. This exceptionally built vacuum tube preamplifier opens up the music and reveals nuances, life and space not previously heard on your system. It is the perfect interface between your sources and power amplifier.
The darTZeel NHB-18NS is the logical partner to the now acclaimed NHB-108 model one power amplifier. In keeping with the very same philosophy, darTZeel uses dedicated circuits reduced to their most basic form. Here again, there is no application of any overall negative feedback. The delicate, small audio signal amplified by the NHB-18NS only passes through 8 silicon junctions from input to output, including the 13dB full discrete gain stage. For the phono stage, we only add 3 junctions, for a maximum additional boost of 60 dB (73 dB in total).
