The latest variant in Koetsus very highly regarded Urushi series, the Urushi Sky Blue uses an Alnico magnet producing a .4mv output. The coil windings are silver wire, rather than the alternate copper-and-silver wire found in the Urushi Vermillion

The Red Signature (Platinum) looks very much like the Red Signature. The similarities however, stop there. The body of the Platinum model is made from aged Rosewood which gives it a darker color tone. The greatest difference though, is inside.

The Japanese art of Urushi is a tradition dating back 10,000 years. This natural lacquer is sourced from the caustic sap of the indigenous Urushi trees. The Urushi is applied by the hands of select Japanese artisans. Once the lacquer cures it hardens around the natural rosewood body changing its resonant frequency.

The Cadenza Black is the flagship of the popular Cadenza range of Moving Coil cartridges. It employs a pristine-cut Nude Shibata stylus with a boron cantilever. The effective mass of the stylus/cantilever system is extremely low due to the use of a very thin boron rod; this material is extremely stiff and even more lightweight than aluminium, making it a real premium component choice.

The Cadenza Blue employs a Nude FG 70 stylus with a very thin ruby cantilever. The improved winding process of the armature ensures better channel balance than any model that came before it. The Ortofon Cadenza Bronze boasts a Replicant 100 stylus and a conical aluminium cantilever. The coil wire used is the famous Ortofon Aucurum wire, which is a gold-plated version of the popular 6NX copper wire. A Field Stabilizing Element, FSE, is used for optimal linearity especially during complex crescendo passages, making this cartridge perfect for classical genres.

The Ortofon Cadenza Mono is the last addition to the Cadenza range, and it brings high-quality pick-up technology back to the now often over-looked world of mono recordings. The Cadenza Mono is made with a nude fine line stylus and a cylindrical aluminium cantilever. For easy use the pins are connected, so you get the same signal from both pairs of connecting pins. The stylus radius is r/R 8/40 um.

The introductory cartridge to the coveted Cadenza series of high-end moving coil pick-up cartridges is the Cadenza Red. This stylish, high-quality cartridge boasts a nude fine line stylus with a cylindrical aluminium cantilever. The stylus tip radius is r/R 8/40um. The coils are made from 6NX (99.9999%) pure silver wire. An improved winding process on the armature allows a better channel balance for good stereo imaging.
